Automated Testing

• Automated Builds - MERAK can assist your team with building and configuring an automated build machine to perform tasks such as implementing Ant/Anthill for building applications, executing JUnit/HttpUnit tests and logging results, automatic deployment of your application to the development environment and formatting and emailing unit tests to the team.
• Automated Testing Tools - MERAK will gather information on your existing development environment, analysing such factors as the size of your applications, your current development language, etc and use that data to recommend the best suited automated testing tool. MERAK resources can also assist with configuration and training on the tool.
• JUnit Tests - JUnit tests provide the ability to validate code modifications during the development process and also in automated builds. The test cases include tests for parameter checks, exceptional conditions and business logic if applicable. MERAK resources will review your existing code and identify and write JUnit tests for your system.
• HttpUnit Tests - HttpUnit tests provide the ability to perform end to end testing of the deployed application. These tests, once integrated into the build will act as regression tests and improve confidence that the application will satisfy the business requirements. MERAK resources will review your existing code and identify and write HttpUnit tests for your system.

Quality Assurance Augmentation

• Functional Test Plan/Test Cases - The MERAK team will review existing test plan/test cases, requirements, use cases, technical specifications and any other relevant documentation. The team will write from scratch or expand on existing plans to ensure full test coverage of your systems.
• Code Standards - MERAK can assist in developing Code Standards that best suit your organization. MERAK can also review your existing code and provide an analysis report on areas of your code that do not meet the standards along with recomendations on how to approach updating your code to the standards.
• Code Review - MERAK can assist in creating a code review process for your development team. MERAK can review the structure of your organization, your existing systems, the timeframes of your projects and many other factors to recommend a code review strategy that will increase quality and reduce defects.
• Javadocs - JavaDocs give technical insights to the code without having to read it. This becomes invaluable when building a service oriented architecture in which multiple project teams/business lines and vendors may be utilizing portions of the code. The MERAK team will review your code and requirements documentation to add or enhance existing Javadocs.
